Evaluating the Blogging Challenge

Let's evaluate the Blogging Challenge!

The Most Interesting Challenge For Me
I think I love the Week 9 challenge which was about "Have I Improved?".

How Often I Visited Other Blogs And Left Comments
Whether I Read The Challenge Flipboard Magazine
I usually go to other blogs when I am checking the flipboard magazine. When people comment, I comment back to reply. Sometimes I would comment on their blog.

A PMI Or Plus/Minus/Interesting Point About The Challenge
I don't want to minus anything in this challenge because its a great idea to connect students and teach them digital skills as well as help them improve in their research and writing skills! I would just like to make the challenge a bit hard and really challenging in the end.

The Most Important Thing I Learned While Doing The Challenge
I have learned a lot of things from this challenge! The most important thing I improved is my writing skills. If you compare my first work with the last one of the BC, there is a big difference. I have learned how to research correctly and I have also improved in my creativity.

How would you evaluate this BC? Be sure to comment down below!

Evaluating My Blog
I have enjoyed Blogging Challenge so much! Did you know I have improved so much in a lot of things!

How many posts did I write?

I have written a lot of posts. How many? Well, I have written 32 posts and when you count this post and the other post for week 10, it would be 34 posts!

How many were school based, my own interests or set by the challenge?

4 posts were school based.  The first one was about glee club and open house day in my school, there is another post I wrote which was about technology or apps we use in school so I wrote about Canva and the last one was my after school schedule.

How many comments did I receive from classmates, teachers or overseas students?
I have received enough comments and some quality ones. I have received 37 comments in total because in some posts people have not posted any comments at all. One comment was from Ms. W, the organizer of the challenge, and the rest were from other bloggers.

Which post received the most comments? Why do I think that happened?
The most comments I got were 4 comments in my post titled "My Schedule After School". I think that happened because it was interesting for people and some of them said theirs is also similar to mine. Most of them said that it was interesting.

Which post did I enjoy writing the most and why?
I enjoyed writing two posts because they were both about traveling that I enjoyed so much! The posts were about my trip to Phuket and Tachikawa.

Did I change blog themes at all and why?
I didn't change my blog theme because I like the one I am using.

How many overseas students do you have on your blogroll?
I have 5 overseas bloggers in my blogroll. They are Emma, Nook, Caleb, Nate, and Fp. You can see the blogroll on the right.

Travel - My Trip to Showa Kinen Park, Tachikawa, Japan

Have you ever been to Japan? I have been! Actually, I have lived in Japan for five years! Konichiwa(Hello)! Today I am going to talk about my trip to Tachikawa, a place in Japan.

I went there in a subway train. When we got there we walked to Showa Kinen Park (Tachikawa is a city ). As soon as we got there. Oh My God! It was so beautiful!
I can see trees everywhere, different flowers everywhere, animals and birds everywhere, and picnic spots everywhere. It was a huge park!

First we went to see the big water fountain and took
a lot of pictures! It was semi circle fountain. There were trees and flowers surrounding the fountain.

Then we went exploring the park where I saw a huge pudding like Trampoline. It was huge and very bouncy! Almost all the kids were there bouncing.

Next we went to the tulips. The tulips are the main part of the park. The tulips are the ones that have made the park very famous. It was like heaven! There are thousands of colors and varieties of tulips! We took a lot of pictures and played around.

There were so many tulips but there were also a lot of other flowers every where! Yellow, Pink, Red, Purple and all kinds of beautiful flowers like hydrangea, pancy, lavenders, tulips (of course) and more!

Now next time you visit Japan be sure to visit Showa Kinen Park! Tell me your comments down below and if you have gone to Showa Kinen Park tell me about your experience there. Would you like to see the photos? Then look down!

Getting to School
Inspired by: Nate's Post

Are you wondering how I get to school? Nate said she goes to school by bus or her dad's car. But for me It's totally different. I go to school by my bicycle every day. My house is really near my school. I can just see my school from my house's balcony. Sometimes I would walk to school if someone has borrowed my bike or it has less air. I would certainly take my bike if I am in a hurry and want to go to school early. But I would always go for my bike, it's easier and faster!

How about you? How do you go to school? Comment down below!

My Schedule After School
Inspired by: Fp's Post

Picture

RRRIIIINNNGGGG!!!!! School is over! I pick my bag up and head for home. (Sometimes I would have after school activities so I would go home late at 4:00 pm.)

Once I am home, I wash my hands and get something tasty to eat. While I am eating I watch youtube. If I don't want to watch youtube, I would chat with my friends or do something else.

After that I would go take a shower. Ahhhh...I feel nice and totally fresh after I take a bath.

Next I would do my homework. If I think there is not much homework and I can do it at night then I would go play. When I come back from playing or when I am done with my homework, I would spend time with my sister, study or do other activities.

Then once dinner is ready I would wash my hands and have the yummy dinner. After, I would read or go outside in the fresh air with my family or who ever is free.

When I come back from outside, I drink a glass of milk and relax, just do something or I would play my piano. When it's too late I brush my teeth and GOOD NIGHT! I sleep....

About Commenting

Picture
I have enjoyed commenting through the blogging challenge.

What I really enjoyed is that I can express my feelings of other posts and you get to comment people of your opinion. I also like replying. I answer other people's doubts so they don't misunderstand my post.

Commenting is sometimes a bit annoying though. How? For me I feel annoyed when people try to find my mistakes. Its also annoying when people support those who are already annoying. (I don't get those annoying comments that much, but it is annoying when I get them.) I also get annoyed when people post messages with punctuation and grammar mistakes.

I find interesting posts from flip board and from the people who comment on my blog. I would go to my favorite interesting posts of other people and comment on them. Interesting posts are so much fun to read!

My posts do get quality comments. For example, for my Week 4 - free choice post, I got a comment from Kyla (please see the message below), which was quite encouraging..
"Anusha, it's so nice to see you sharing about your dream jobs and that we have photography in common! you are right, it is not that easy but can be very fun. You have some interesting choices, strive to do your best and follow your heart! Best of luck in future and happy blogging."

Flipboard Magazine Posts

'What is Climate Change?'
Post Credit:
Emma's Post
I visited Emma's Blog and liked her post titled 'What is Climate Change?' I chose this post because it interested me and because I also did a Global Warming post. I wanted to know what exactly is Climate Change, how it is a disaster for our planet. I feel sad for the animals like polar bears, as what Emma said in her post, the ice is melting due to the rise in temperature, polar bears won't have land to live. It was a great post.
'Why are French Fries Called French Fries?'
Post Credit:
Nook's Post
The second post I chose was Nook's post. The post is about 'Why are French fries called French fries? I chose this post because I wanted to know about French fries. I already knew French fries were not from France but it was interesting to know its origin, and now I finally know about French fries.
'School - Reality vs Wish'
Post Credit:
Caleb's Post
The third post I visited was Caleb's Post. The post is about School: Reality vs Wish. It interested me because I wanted to see Caleb's opinion of her dream school.

Water - Small Changes, Big Impact

Picture
I made this poster by using "Canva"
I made this poster to help people realize how important it is to save WATER!
Just think how careless we are when using water.
According to Los Angeles Times the scientists conclude that replacing water-hungry appliances with water-wise ones can lead to a savings of up to 45.1% of total indoor water use. But just changing your everyday behaviors can lead to water savings of 30.2%.

Global Warming

Picture
Do you have any idea what is Global Warming?

Well, its the increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants.

Global warming is a big environmental and social issue all over the world which everyone must know especially our children as they are the future.

Our earth’s surface is becoming hot day by day by trapping the sun’s heat and because of rise in the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide. It has been estimated that in next 50 to 100 years, the temperature of earth would be increased to such a great level that it would create a big problem for living creatures on earth.

Many factors can influence Earth’s climate—such as changes in the sun’s intensity and volcanic eruptions. But
Who is the major cause of creating this global warming? It's humans, releasing heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere together with many other activities. Can we stop Global Warming? Watch the video below!
